Teaser Tuesday: Unidentified Snippet by Cassandra Clare
Another unidentified snippet! This one...ot as spoilery like the last few ones, but it's a aint-that-the-truth one.
They said it was better to know your enemy, but how did it help to know that your enemy’s one weakness was your weakness, too?
And this time, I truly have no idea what this comes from. Come on, it can be in Clockwork Princess, City of Heavenly Fire, The Dark Artifices, or even from The Bane Chronicles.
Jeez.

Teaser Tuesday: Unidentified Snippet by Cassandra Clare
One heart-stopping, gut-wrenching, palm-twitching, toes-curling, brows-sweating unidentified snippet from either TMI, TID or TDA!
“Take London, my love, and turn it all to blood,” she said. “My gift to you.”
***
Response:
Well, London. So it can be Clockwork Princess, huh? But SHE said? The Dark Sisters? But I don't think Tessa will do that to London Shadowhunters. Unless it's in Mortmain's point of view...
It can be in City of Heavenly Fire too. Since that... well, the second Mortal War will probably be held in Idris, which is in... Europe. But the reason to turn LONDON and not IDRIS or NEW YORK to blood is beyond me.
It can be in The Dark Artifices, although in this current stage I can't imagine why. It's set in LA, right? What's the point of turning LONDON to blood? Unless it's in the second or even the third book of TDA. I guess.
Anyway. The gift is utterly horrible. I don't want London turned to blood even though she's not my favorite city.

Two Snippets From Two Different Source
Two different teasers by two different authors. But they are just as breath-taking!
First: Unidentified Snippet by Cassandra Clare
“What if I just love you? What if I love you but I never touch you or talk about it, what would happen then?”
Response: Whoever says this can be anyone (including the characters in TDA), for the Angel's sake. But damn if it isn't heartbreaking. Torturing us again, huh?
Second: Visual Origin Teaser
(Warning: Prepare for swooning and AWWWs.)
Response: That's the sweetest thing so far in my life! I don't care if it is Daemon or Kat saying. I just hope they will get back together no matter what!

Unidentified Snippet!
An unidentified snippet from Cassie! Can you guess where it will appear (cuz I don't think this appeared in any previous books)
Belatedly, she realized something else. “Do you … have anything?”
He didn’t seem to have recovered from her last comment. “But do you mean — wait, do I have what?”
She slitted her eyes at him. “Something important.”
“Like what? The phone number for the White House?” A
moment later, under her withering glare, realization dawned. “Oh.” His
was the expression of someone who has run out of gas in the middle of
the desert, miles from help. “I … “
That's definitely not in Clockwork Princess, because I doubt that somebody will run out of gas in the middle of the dessert in 1878. I have a really weird feeling (although it's often not true) that it's not in City of Heavenly Fire either, cuz that will be way too funny even though I know there's a possibility.
I think the answer is that it may appear in The Dark Artifices. I don't know why I have this feeling. But if this withering glare is from Emma Carstairs, that's definitely not surprising because she's always so badass.

Analysis: Unidentified Snippets from tmisource (Article 3)
The last batch of unidentified snippets(for now)! Check them out:
Snippet #21:
“You’re in my bones and my blood and my heart,” he said. “I’d have to tear myself open to let you go.”
Okay, I think I can never identify where this come from. It can be Jace or Will's words. But anyway, I think this is how the Herondale boys react. Stubborn, (too)Caring, Sarcastic outside, and heartbreaking. (I love the Herondale boys so much)
Snippet #22:
“You are the Lightwoods — you are all that is left of the Lightwoods.”
I think this is from Clockwork Princess, after Gideon turned his back to Benedict Lightwood and Gabriel. And I think the words are from Magnus or Charlotte.
Snippet #23:
Snippet #24:
“Oh, God, the lovebirds,” Magnus said, pulling the pillow off his face. “I hate happy couples.”
Okay, I can't really say whether this is come from TMI or TID. But this is HILARIOUS. I laughed quite hard when I saw this.
Do you want more snippets from Cassie Clare? I do!

Snippet #23:
“I don’t know why I ever helped you.”I think this is from Clockwork Princess too, and I think this is a conversation between Will and Jem. And if it is true, I think Will is probably the one who liked broken things.
“Because you like broken things.”
Snippet #24:
“Oh, God, the lovebirds,” Magnus said, pulling the pillow off his face. “I hate happy couples.”

Analysis: Unidentified Snippets from tmisource (Article 2)
Another batch of unidentified snippets from tmisource! Check them out:
Snippet #11:
He kissed each finger, and with each one of them spoken a word. Five kisses, five words. His last.
This is so bittersweet. I don't know what this is from. So I think this is in one of the upcoming books. I think it is in Clockwork Princess, which has the bigger chance than City of Heavenly Fire. I don't really know the reason. Just some sort of feeling.
And what are the five words? I really wanna know.
Snippet #12:
Snippet #13:
“In all my previous encounters with Will, he has worn pants.”
Okay that must be in the Infernal Devices(Although logically it can be in The Mortal Instruments too). I think it can be in Clockwork Angel (although I can't possibly remember). And the funny thing is that it sounds like something from Jem's mouth(again, although it can be from Magnus).
Snippet #14:
Snippet #15:
It was one of the things that had made her fall in love with him in the first place: realizing that this scarred, sarcastic boy was gentle with the things he loved.
Actually this is not an unidentified snippet anymore, because this is from City of Lost Souls, where Jace was himself again for a while in Paris.
Snippet #16:
… laughing together at all the beautiful ruin around them. They were standing suspended in the sea: it couldn’t hurt them, destruction was their element. Clarissa was looking down as she laughed, trailing her moonlight hands in the water. When she lifted up her hands they were dark, dripping: he realized that the seas were all blood.
Again this is not an unidentified snippet because this is from A Dark Transformation, which is an extra content from City of Lost Souls.
Snippet #17:
When you were an angel, what was your name?
Okay, I don't know what this comes from. It may be in the upcoming books too. I really wanna know what this comes from because this is quite an interesting one.
Snippet #18:
Snippet #19:
Not your parabatai any longer.
WHAT IS THIS!? What does Cassie mean "Not your parabatai any longer"? Does that mean a pair of parabatai will split up? I think the split-up thing may occur in Clockwork Princess, maybe after Jem discover something from Will (I can't tell whether this is about his love for Tessa, or something else), or Will discover a dark side of Jem(which is inspired by an interesting theory that Jem goes dark from some other fans).
Snippet #20:
“Wet again,” Will said, glumly.
Typical Will, making bitter humor. I don't know what this is from, but it can appear in all three books(Although I am kinda sure that it didn't appear in Clockwork Prince).
What do you think of the snippets? Do you want more from Cassandra Clare? I do!

Snippet #12:
“Did you …” He could barely bring himself to ask. “Did you like it?”Okay, I don't recall this one, but it is kind of familiar. Maybe this is in Clockwork Angel (I've read Clockwork Prince so many times that I am SURE this is not in it). Although it can be in Clockwork Princess too. And I don't have the feeling that it might have appeared in the previous 5 books of TMI or CoHF.
“Yeah.” Her voice was husky. “I liked it.”
“Do you think there’s a chance for him?”This must be in TID, especially in Clockwork Princess. I like to think that this is a conversation between Tessa and Magnus. It sounds logical and Tessa-like and Magnus-like.
“A chance for who?”
“Will. To be happy.”
“Is there a chance for you to be happy if he isn’t?”

Snippet #18:
Jem leaned closer against the chair, staring into the fire. “Better it were my hands,” he said.Okay, I don't recall this, and it didn't sound like Will in Clockwork Angel. So I think this is in Clockwork Princess, or some kind of delete scene from either Clockwork Prince or Clockwork Princess.
Will shook his head. Exhaustion was muting the edges of everything in the room, blurring the flocked wallpaper into a single mass of dark color. “No. Not your hands. You need your hands for the violin. What do I need mine for?”
Snippet #19:
Not your parabatai any longer.

Analysis: Unidentified Snippets from tmisource (Article 1)
In tmisource, there is a page for unidentified snippets. Let's just guess where those comes from. This game is pretty fun!
Snippet #1:
She looked at the boy. He was pale as milk, his blue eyes startling against so much white skin and the darkness of his hair and eyelashes. He was long-legged, slender as a willow branch, but strong: a very pretty boy, even to her, who looked at human beings and saw mortality and rot.
Actually this is not an unidentified snippet anymore, not after City of Lost Souls has come out. This is from A Question of Power, an extra content in some copies of City of Lost Souls, where Alec found Camille and talk to her.
Snippet #2:
The body sank without a trace, and Sebastian forgot it before it had even sunk all the way. He saw the curled fingers, bobbing in the currents as if restored to life and begging for help or at least answers, and thought of his dream. His sister, and a sea of blood.
Again this hasn't been an unidentified snippet after City of Lost Souls has come out. This is from A Dark Transformation, an extra content in some copies of City of Lost Souls, which tells the story how Jonathan Morgenstern changed to Sebastian Verlac.
Snippet #3:
But the rest of Jace’s mind is watching the door slam behind her and seeing the final ruin of all his dreams. It was one thing to push it to this point. It is another to let go forever. Because he knows Clary, and if she goes now, she will not ever come back.
This is not an unidentified snippet anymore because this is from The Act of Falling, which is in some copies in City of Lost Souls. It tells the story of DSAS(If you don't know what is DSAS, go check Cassandra Clare's site) scene from Jace's perspective.
Snippet #4:
Again this is not an unidentified snippet anymore. This is from Stephen's Letter to Jace, which is in some copies in City of Lost Souls.
Snippet #5:
“In your eyes, I have always found grace.”
I don't recall where it comes from. Maybe it's not even in the books that are released. But it can be either in TMI or TID books. If this is in the books that aren't even released, is that kinda like a teaser? I like this idea really much.
Snippet #6:
He stopped dead. “Tessa told you?” he said.
It must be in TID, because no one but Magnus in TMI knows about Tessa, and he definitely never talks about her. So who is the guy saying these words? Will? Jem? Or others? But one think is pretty obvious. And that's the speaker is a man/boy(Sounds like I'm talking crap)
Snippet #7:
his parabatai rune was bleeding
I don't recall this sentence in any of the TMI and TID books. I can't even find it in City of Lost Souls, where there has the biggest chance that the sentence exists. So I think it will appear in either City of Heavenly Fire or Clockwork Princess. If this freaking snippet is in CoHF, "his" must refer to either Jace or Alec. If it is in CP2, "his" must refer to either Will or Jem. And I wonder that if the parabatai rune is bleeding, does that mean the one of them will die? (No. The four of them cannot die. I don't want this happen)
Snippet #8:
Marry me today
Okay, I don't remember it ever appears on any books in TMI or TID. It seems that it will appear in CP2, because Jem and Tessa were engaged. But for me I really hope that it will appear in CoHF because I would LOVE to see Jace and Clary will be engaged(or Simon and Isabelle/Magnus and Alec)!(Even though Cassie said that they will not marry)
Snippet #9:
She slid the gold ring back onto her finger before heading into Jace’s bedroom.
I don't recall this either, but it must be in City of Lost Souls, because the gold ring was only mentioned in CoLS.
Snippet #10:
Will’s hand looked brown and sunburnt by contrast, their fingers dovetailed together like piano keys.
I think this is in Clockwork Princess, because I don't recall this in Clockwork Angel and Clockwork Prince.
I will post more unidentified snippets from tmisource and analyze them. This is fun!
