4 Series That Should Not Be Made Into Movies

People are worried about if the books will be ruined by movies. And that's not the only reason why people don't want a movie based on movies. Well, some books should not be made into movies, I think. Remember, this is just my opinion. And all of these are adapted.

1. Fifty Shades of Grey by E.L. James

Seriously, this is the worst idea. I mean, don't you find really absurd of actually seeing the story played by a bunch of Hollywood actors and actresses? The story is normal by human standards, just an innocent woman who falls for an attractive man who is a little bit sadistic. It's normal enough, yes. But what do you think about the trend? Dystopia novels like The Hunger Games, Divergent, Delirium, Uglies. Paranormal novels like The Mortal Instruments and Beautiful Creatures have a much better plot and more exciting story.

And really, what's with the... kinky fuckery (is that what it's called?)? I just can't imagine what it will be like when it hit the big screens. I think I would hurl if I actually see it in theaters because... this is the last book that should be made into a movie. Seriously, this is bad news.

2. House of Night by P.C. Cast and Kristin Cast

I'm not a hater of this series. But comparing it with The Vampire Academy (I am not a fan of VA, but even I know about the craziness out there) and even The Vampire Diaries, I don't think that's a good idea. I think y'all know about that there is an army of haters of HON. I seriously doubt that it's gonna be as popular as The Vampire Diaries. Yes, the plot is very different from The Vampire Diaries and even The Vampire Academy. There's very little bloodlust and it's more like... a dystopian novel. But the plot is simply just not as addicting as the others. And the characters... well they are a little bit too innocent. What people like is a rather complicated situation.

And the main thing about the series that will certainly be ruined by the movie, is that it lasts way too freaking long. There are what, ten books out in stores already, and the series still hasn't been finished. How will you imagine when there's a movie? It will last like, more than 10 years? And it's YA novel for crying out loud. The characters are supposed to be young.

Some also said that House of Night should be made into a TV series instead of movie. That's a slightly better idea, but I still don't really wanna see it happen. The reason? I really think that the TV series will last even longer than the movie, not the time itself, but the plot. I hate to see the plot being stretch into a long think strip, and the story is long enough.

3. Fallen by Lauren Kate

I kinda like this series, really. Fallen is quite good and relatively peaceful. But perhaps the peace is the reason that Fallen shouldn't be made into a movie. I think if I had to choose between Fallen and Hush Hush, I will definitely choose Hush Hush. I understand the good things about the book. The natural scenes will be beautiful, especially in Rapture. The love shared between Luce and Daniel is remarkable. I get that. But Fallen is seriously not the most popular books in USA now. People have moved on to something more powerful.

And there's a post in IMDb about Fallen. And you know what? I seriously doubt that Fallen will actually be developed into a movie because there's still no news from Disney Pictures. What takes them so long? The time is long enough and if there's still no news from them, the franchise will eventually fade away. So why should we have a Fallen movie if the craziness is already fading away and nothing is helping Fallen from the falling popularity?

4. Wings by Aprilynne Pike

It's about faeries. Yes, it's not the most normal thing happen on big screens. But I think The Iron Fey is much better. Not just the plot itself but also the writing skills. I mean, seriously, if The Immortal Rules is gonna be made into a film, why shouldn't The Iron Fey? And yeah, Wings is not that bad. But it's not suitable for a movie. The plot is just not exciting enough. And the characters are too naive, and a little bit stupid. I mean, what's with the relationship between Laurel and David? I am seriously not a big fan of Tamani. And for some reason I just don't wanna see it happen. Not just because the movie may ruin the book, but also the book is just not good enough and not popular enough.

(P.S. I really want The Iron Fey movie. I am thrilled by that idea. If Blood of Eden series by Julie Kagawa is going to be a movie, then there should be The Iron Fey movie. I will be excited to see Ash and Meghan and Puck on screen).

Rapture Review

Summary:

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

Yet together they will face an epic battle that will end with lifeless bodies . . . and angel dust. Great sacrifices are made. Hearts are destroyed. And suddenly Luce knows what must happen.

For she was meant to be with someone other than Daniel. The curse they’ve borne has always and only been about her—and the love she cast aside. The choice she makes now will be the only one that truly matters.

In the fight for Luce, who will win?

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

Review:
I can only say Rapture is EPIC and ASTONISHING! I have never imagine things were going on like this (Okay not really but not all the details were like that). I have never think that Daniel would be a mortal after those seven thousands years.

When the Outcast sided with Daniel, I thought only,"This is finally interesting". I can't imagine that the Outcast would ever side with Daniel and Luce ('cause those Outcasts wanted Luce as some sort of price). This one actually amazes me.

It made me so upset that Gabbe and Molly died. Come on, how could they died. I like Molly even though she was a demon. And more than that, there was nothing left for angels who died? That they couldn't even go back to Heaven? That's hardly fair for them.

The whole retrieving memories scene is so good. But it's just stunned me that Lucifer was her first true love, and I just wanna shout,"What the hell is/was going on?!". I mean, Luce couldn't be his LOVE, right? But it reminded me that Molly's note in Fallen,"Luce...Lucifer...any relation?" Maybe there WERE relations between them.

Another epic scene is Luce was trying to persuade Lucifer to stop the Fall. For me Lucifer had no right to deserve Lucinda, not before, not now(if there is "now"), not ever. Lucifer didn't know what love actually means. Daniel did(or should I say "does"). Luce's words was strong enough to stop the Fall from happening again.

The saddest scene is when Luce and Daniel had to say goodbye once again. And for that I couldn't help but to blame the Throne a little. Why they can't just love each other as an angel. Why they had to be mortal if they wanted to be truly together? After what they had been through, couldn't they just stay as immortals? My heart is aching just thinking about this.

The scene that Luce and Daniel met (once again) was hilarious and saddening at the same time because Daniel couldn't remember a single bit of memory at that time. But all things in that scene reminds me the sight in Sword and Cross in FALLEN. What he had wear (black and a red scarf)and what his eyes had looked like(gray and violet). Another thing that makes me laugh a little is that he didn't flip her off like he had in Sword and Cross(Do you recall that Cam said to Daniel not to flip her off when he was about to reborn as a mortal?). Most importantly, his recognition of Luce made me laugh and cry at the same time. He could actually recognize Luce. He actually could. Maybe their souls would always stay in their bodies. They would always find each other. That is good for them somehow as they didn't need to suffer any loss anymore. They could truly be together. But for me this is not quite enough. I want Luce and Daniel stay as immortals. That would be better for me.

The epilogue is so funny that I can hardly contain my laughter. This epilogue eases my feelings. This is one of the most beautiful epilogue in all YA novels... for now.

There are still questions. First is for Cam. Where had he been? It sounded like he was up to something that was really fun. I wish I could know. Second is the last sentence. Why Luce and Daniel had fallen in love for the last time? I knew why this was the first time. It means that they had fallen in love as a mortal for the first time. But I can't get the meaning of "the last time". Is that something would(or will) happen if they both die? Would/Will they get back to Heaven? Would/Will they still be angels again once they get back to Heaven? I know that we will never know. But still, it sounds like some sort of thread.

Lauren Kate is an amazing writer. She can actually put things to epic twists, and that's what YA Novels need. She can create an environment that the fans will fall for FALLEN. She can move the fans in a way that many other authors can't. I am really sad that the series is over because it has sided with me for four years since the first book came out. But I can't wait for a whole new series by her to come out. I think it will be as epic as FALLEN!

Rapture: It's coming!

The Final Installment of the Bestselling Fallen Series is coming soon! It will be released in June 12, 2012. Take a look of the summary(from goodreads):

The sky is dark with wings . . . .

Like sand in an hourglass, time is running out for Luce and Daniel. To stop Lucifer from erasing the past they must find the place where the angels fell to earth. Dark forces are after them, and Daniel doesn’t know if he can do this—live only to lose Luce again and again.

The astonishing conclusion to the FALLEN series. Heaven can’t wait any longer.

*For those who bought the hardcover of Fallen in Love, they can have a sneak peek of the first chapter of Rapture. You can also take a look in the Facebook page of Fallen Books.

I have to say I am very excited about Rapture, even though I think they will probably end up together, I would to see how they battle Lucifer. But from the summary,"The astonishing conclusion" makes me think that perhaps they can never be together for good. I really hope they will be together, no matter what. Just thinking they will be forced apart forever makes me wanna punch something.

Passion

The third book of the Fallen Series has been released:

Passion:
Passion has been released for 9 months already. It is one of the bestselling novels in 2011. This book is about Luce traveled throught time and tried to find out away to reverse the curse. I think this book is quite good, better than Torment, the second book of the Fallen Series. But it made me a little bit confused when I first read it because the time is quite messy, and when I first read the book, I didn't know why Luce was in her past self's body, and at another second she was back to become herself again. I had to read it for twice to understand what was ''going 3D''. And that ''going 3D'' thing made me confused for a long time. I couldn't figure it out until I read Fallen in Love. But this books is actually quite good, especially Bill showed who he really was---Lucifer(Satan), the one that cursed Luce and Daniel for losing each other again and again and again for eternity. I'm glad that Luce was not deceived by Satan when that devil told her to kill her soul using a starshot. And for Rapture, I just hope that Luce can be with Daniel ---because I believed that they are MEANT TO BE.

Rapture

The final book of the Fallen series will be released in June, 2012:

Rapture:

Summary: http://www.goodreads.com/book/show/12716010-rapture

I am gonna say I am quite surprised. When I read ''...For she was meant to be with someone OTHER THAN Daniel...'' I was just...stunned. After what they had been through, and the author's telling me Luce was meant to be with someone ELSE? This is so not right. Luce and Dan had a chance to be with each other this time, and Luce is not going to be with Dan? This sounds just totally wrong.

The cover is very different from the first 3 books. I mean, when you look back to the covers of the first 3 books, Luce was wearing dark-blue dress, but this time she is wearing white. And the sky seems to be much brighter. Maybe it carries some sort of hidden information about the book.

I don't know if Kate's gonna write another series or more outtakes from Fallen series. But I want this book, I wanna see what will happen to them, and how can they find ''that'' place. But I have to wait for 3 months. And this is frustrating.
