Enders: Review

Synopsis:

With the Prime Destinations body bank destroyed, Callie no longer has to rent herself out to creepy Enders. But Enders can still get inside her mind and make her do things she doesn't want to do. Like hurt someone she loves. Having the chip removed could save Callie's life - but it could also silence the voice in her head that might belong to her father. Callie has flashes of her ex-renter Helena's memories, too ...and the Old Man is back, filling her with fear. Who is real and who is masquerading in a teen body? This is the thrilling sequel to "Starters".

***

I wonder if there's a sequel after Enders. But I surely hope there is! Enders is even better than Starters. With the body bank destroyed, Callie thought she's finally save and can build a life with Tyler and Michael together. But the Old Man still can get into her head and threaten to take away everything she loves. Helpless, she allies with an unlikely person, and they have to find out who is really the threat. And the whole purpose of Prime Destinations.

The book itself is more brutal than Starters. Since it's not officially released yet, I can't tell you anything about the plot of the book. But there's one scene where it takes inhumane and horrifying to the extreme. The things those bad guys do... you will feel an instant hatred towards them. Brutal is nice. But that's not the best part.

The best part is that it takes "nothing is as it seems" to a whole new level. Again I'm not going to reveal any details about it. But the discovery of the "Old Man", the purpose of Prime Destinations, the one behind the whole masquerade... the truth is mind-blowing. Trust me it's extremely hard to see it coming. Enders is unpredictable and awe-inspiring. The action scenes are pretty good too. Now I see Callie can totally kick some ass. Maybe not in the way you think, but she can. I like her more and more. And then there's something unexpected brewing... not the kind that will throw everything off balance again or stuff, but still, really interesting.

If you think Starters is good, Enders is even better. I really wish there's a sequel of Enders. Because even though the ending brings a nice amount of closure comfort, I feel like there's something more to this story.

Rating: 8/10
